Pumpkin Puree Recipe
Pumpkin Puree Recipe
Looking for an easy Pumpkin Puree recipe?
I followed Alton Brown’s recipe from the Cooking Channel (check out the original recipe here). This is the best Pumpkin Puree recipe I have tried so far! Super simple, and good results every time!
Just make sure you use heat-resistant gloves to handle the pumpkin after it is out of the oven.
Ingredients:
1 Sugar or Pie Pumpkin
Kosher Salt
CUT PUMPKIN IN HALF. DE-SEED & DE-STEM PUMPKIN.
LIGHTLY SPRINKLE SALT ON FLESH OF PUMPKIN
PLACE FACE DOWN AND BAKE 40 MINUTES, OR UNTIL FLESH IS SOFT.
SCOOP FLESH AWAY FROM SKIN & PLACE IN FOOD PROCESSOR OR BLENDER. BLEND UNTIL SMOOTH.
PLACE CONTENTS IN AIRTIGHT STORAGE AND REFRIGERATE OR FREEZE UNTIL USE. CONTENTS WILL BE ABLE TO BE USED UP TO A WEEK IN THE FRIDGE, OR 2-3 MONTHS IF IT IS KEPT FROZEN.
