Lavender Vodka Infusion recipe (plus how to use it in the best lavender martini recipe out there!)
Looking for the best lavender vodka infusion recipe out there? Or perhaps you prefer a Lavender gin? This delicious & easy lavender infusion recipe is not only delicious and versatile, it’s also stunning in cocktails due to the secret ingredient. That secret ingredient? Butterfly pea flowers! This recipe is my number one request due to the popularity of my favorite cocktail to use it in - the Lavender Martini.
Ingredients:
3 TBS Culinary Grade Lavender
2 TBS Butterfly Pea Flowers
1 Vanilla Bean
One 750 ML bottle of vodka or gin
Infusion Jar
Fine mesh strainer
Directions:
Slice vanilla beans down the middle and “unfold” to expose all the vanilla goodness inside the bean. Caution: this can be messy- you may want some gloves for this part! I absolutely love vanilla so I do not mind the mess!
Combine ingredients in airtight jar. If no airtight jar is available, you can also add the ingredients directly to the liquor bottle. If you are using the liquor bottle to infuse, you likely will need to use a couple servings of the liquor (3-6 oz), to allow room for the additional ingredients.
Store for 3-5 days, You may agitate the ingredients daily to make sure it is evently saturated with the ingredients.
Pour contents through fine mesh strainer, repeat if neccessary so all small remnants of the ingredients have been removed. TIP: I like to remove the vanilla bean from the strainer and add to the jar that I store the infused liquor. Not only does it add additional flavor, it looks neat to boot!
Enjoy your Lavender Vanilla Liquor Infusion in a variety of recipes, including the Lavender Martini, Lavender Lemonade, Lavender Coffee, and more!
