Their Reposado tequila is currently my favorite - smooth, soft and delicious to sip on it’s own, or as the base spirit for your Margarita. I have many favorite Margarita recipes, but for my spirit forward version, I prefer to keep it simple! 1.75 oz tequila (I prefer Blanco or Reposado) .75 oz Cointreau 1 oz fresh lime juice .5 oz agave *If I’m using a Reposado tequila I garnish with a lime and orange slice, I personally love the hint of orange with a Reposado. Combine ingredients in a shaker, shake well and strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass. Pink Himalayan salt makes for the perfect garnish. Looking for a cocktail shaker, but not sure which style to choose? 🤷‍♀️ There’s no “one-style-fits-all” when it comes to cocktail shakers, but there are some easy ways to figure out which style is best for you! The Cobbler is the popular “all-in-one” shaker style, with a lid that has a built-in strainer. This will be the first shaker I pack when heading on a vacation, and luggage space is limited. For day to day use, most bartenders I know (myself included) will typically opt for the Boston style, which consists of a large tin for the base of the shaker, and either a small tin or mixing glass as an insert to shake the cocktails. The mixing glass option enables one to shaker several drinks at once- but beware! The seal can become so tight that the glass can break. For this reason, I stick to the small tin and large tin combo for shaking most of my cocktails. I have had several requests for tips for using both style of shakers- so fellow home bartenders, stay tuned! I’ll be sure to post those here and on TikTok.
